The Syncrude Aquatic Centre is located in the Suncor Community Leisure Centre, and has become one of the most popular leisure, fitness, and recreational attractions in Fort McMurray since opening in 2010.

The Syncrude Aquatic Centre includes the Canadian Dewatering 54m olympic swimming pool, the Aluma Systems 3m diving board, two 1m diving boards, a warm water leisure pool, a family whirlpool, the family water park, the Mix 103.7 FM spray park, the Country 93.3 FM Yellow water slide and the Rock 97.9 FM Rock water slide, four smaller water slides, a double tube slide, the lazy river, and a giant dumping bucket.

The Aquatic and Leisure Services team at MacDonald Island Park is also proud of its connection to the community. The Canadian Dewatering 54m swimming pool is home to the Fort McMurray Mantas Swim Club and the Northern Lights Triathlon Club.
